Nadine Faraj in a solo show at the Maison de la culture NDG – Monkland Gallery

McBride Contemporain is thrilled to announce that the solo exhibition Their Beating Hearts Their Seeing Eyes by Nadine Faraj is currently featured by the Maison de la culture Notre-Dame-de-Grâce at the Monkland Gallery from Friday, August 28 until Sunday October 4, 2026.
The exhibition brings together paintings, a video, and an immersive installation accompanied by a spatialized soundtrack composed by Ṭaus al Chalabi. The work evolves each week through additional images and sounds created by participants in the cultural mediation workshops. Textual elements play a key role: Faraj’s watercolour portraits of activists incorporate their feminist, queer, and anti-racist slogans. The exhibition also features a significant number of works resulting from a vibrant three-year collaboration with writer Stuart Ross.
