Alice Zerini-Le Reste
Alice Zerini-Le Reste is a multidisciplinary artist working primarily with ceramics, drawing, and photography. Her practice is characterized by a deep engagement with the landscapes and stories she encounters. By making the process an integral part of the work, she fosters a dialogue that is both inclusive, scientific, and poetic. Moving from drawing to ceramics, she uses the material both as a canvas and as a way of materializing three-dimensional lines. In her practice, territory transcends mere physical space to become a cohesive source of raw material and inspiration. Clay and minerals become living materials that capture the imprint of a specific place or time, inviting the viewer to consider the stories embedded within the land. Interweaving science, storytelling, and art, she examines collective memory to extract an everyday language—an alternative narrative that lies somewhere between the work of an archivist and that of an artist.
