Brooklyn Bridge
McBride Contemporain is delighted to announce Brooklyn Bridge, a group exhibition surveying the work of fourteen artists currently based in Brooklyn, New York. We are pleased and honoured to bring them in concert to Montreal, Quebec, and Canadian audiences. In this exhibition, a wide variety of invested and individualized practices are represented in a multitude of compelling approaches to making contemporary art. Both on and off the wall, in two and three dimensions, these artists survey a wide and rich sample of some of the most exciting art-making happening today in New York City. From painting and drawing, to collage and paper sculpture, ceramic and textile and hybridized versions of several of the above, these works challenge, invite, fascinate and seduce. Following up on our 2019 exhibition MTLNYC, Brooklyn Bridge is another installment in McBride Contemporain’s determined effort to culturally shorten the highway spanning the distance between Montreal and New York, and demonstrate the relevance of the city on each side of the border one to the other.
