Over the years, Yves Tessier has developed a distinctive pictorial language, exploring diverse scenarios and subjects. With wet, fluid strokes laid down over dry strokes, he works in casein paints on a ground of marble dust gesso, applied to aluminum and wood panels. Artworks by Tessier can also be found in the collections of the Musée d'art contemporain de Montréal and the National Bank.
