McBride Contemporain is happy to announce that the artwork 0 (2023) by Andrea Szilasi has been acquired by the City of Montreal's Sud-Ouest Art Collection. The works acquired are installed in the borough's public and administrative spaces to encourage their dissemination to the public and employees on a daily basis.
Andrea Szilasi lives and works in Montreal. This artwork was presented in 2023 as part of her solo exhibition Stop motion. Well-known for her experimental approach in photography, which sometimes involves collage and cut-outs, Szilasi's work examines the nature and practice of photography itself, and the representation of the human body.
