McBride Contemporain is pleased to present gathering, Lorraine Simms’ solo exhibition at the Research Institute Atrium organized by the RBC Art and Heritage Centre of the MUHC. This collection of oil paintings features delicately rendered dried flora, through which Simms adopts a specimen-like approach that transforms repetition into a poignant reflection of hope, perseverance, and devotion.
In celebration of the 10-year anniversary of exhibitions in the RI Atrium, and the international day of climate action, this exhibition was chosen to celebrate the organization’s commitment to sustainable development.
The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm or by appointment.
