The gallery is pleased to share Alexis Desgagnés’ review of Andrea Szilasi’s exhibition Réfléchir, presented at McBride Contemporain from January to February 2026.

Published in Issue 132 (“Tableaux”) of Ciel variable, Desgagnés offers a thoughtful and generous reflection on the exhibition, capturing the subtle and affective resonance of the works on view. His reading of Szilasi’s collages reveals a nuanced understanding of the ideas of architecture, language, the body, and space that have long shaped the artist’s practice.

“The true force of these works, however, was that they invited us, first to intuitively test how our experience of art is profoundly corporeal, sensory, and indescribable, then, and only then, to reflect on them.”
