Mathieu Lacroix discusses his performance “Parties composantes” in a video by DRAC

McBride Contemporain is pleased to share a video interview with Mathieu Lacroix, recently published by DRAC, in which he discusses his performance Parties composantes.
Using a variety of pencils, as well as a microphone and amplifier, Mathieu Lacroix focuses on drawing and its performative dimension. With each stroke left on a sheet of paper or on a DRAC surface, the sound of the pencils is amplified in space, echoing the creative gesture. The result is a formal (de)construction of the act of drawing, both literally and figuratively.
